We are looking for a

Procurement Excellence Specialist

who is accountable for medium to large and complex projects with a medium to large-sized team. Focuses on the creation of the project vision and planning, to enable the strategic procurement effectively and efficiently doing their jobs. Documents and manages the implementation, reporting, and performance of the overall project with the expectation of delivering on time, within budget, and to scope.

What is your role?

Whilst leading projects in Kramp’s Procurement department, you will be a key player in identifying and resolving issues, actively managing risks and contribute to decision making proposals. You will enable Supplier Managers and Supplier Specialists to successfully execute their supplier strategy and eliminate blockers. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of procurement operations to drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and optimize supplier relationships. You will work with (cross-functional) colleagues from all levels in the organisation, guiding them towards successful completion of initiatives.

Your specific daily tasks include: 

  • Lead and support complex (cross-)functional projects, according to the strategic project road map. Enabling the strategic procurement processes in the roadmap of excellence.
  • Recognize business potential and proactively initiate improvement suggestions, in close cooperation with the Procurement Managers.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices, to meet operational objectives.
  • Summarizing and presenting the needed amount of information to management, allowing them to make decisions, able to produce accurate project documentation.
  • Put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement team.
  • Managing and involving stakeholders and build a highly effective project team to establish effective relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.
  • Map, design, implement and improve processes. Create Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Create, maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into solutions.
  • Coach and support stakeholders in managing the change process.
  • Provide guidance and support to procurement teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Your team

You will report directly to the Procurement Excellence Manager and will work with an international team of 5 Procurement Managers, 27 Supplier Managers and 15 Supplier Specialists.

As Procurement Excellence Specialist you collaborate with: Category Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchase Order Management, Product Quality & Compliance, Logistics, Distribution, Data & Analytics team and Finance.

Who are you?

  • You are result-focused;
  • You are a team player;
  • You have strong stakeholder management, change management and communication skills; 
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of work experience and a background in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Business Management; 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management in an international organisation, preferably in a procurement or supply chain department
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language. Dutch language would be an advantage.
